But when I think about how we move through our fast-paced world, trying to hold onto every minute of the 10,005 we have, we have to ask, "Are we setting the right priorities?" Matthew 18:3 says, “Truly I tell you,” he said, “unless you turn and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” That means staying humble, trusting in the Lord for all our needs, and being teachable. All the things I was when I was a child.

I used to wish I could go back and warn this little girl about what was coming, to make different decisions, to choose differently. But every choice and decision has brought me to today, and who God has been refining. I am grateful for God’s redemption, restoration, and unending grace. I am grateful for 56 years. I am grateful for the journey. Happy Birthday, Ammie Lynn.
