Carrots

What seeds are we planting? If we plant carrot seeds, we can expect carrots. If we plant corn, we should expect corn. So how come when we are planting seeds of bitterness, anger, and anxiousness, that we are expecting forgiveness, peace, and trust? Galatians 6:7-8 tells us: “7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.”
Today, let us double-check what we are planting - and make sure we are planting and growing good seed in the gardens of our hearts. If we want carrots, we need the right seeds. The same with peace, joy, and love.
