Another in the Fire

When you read Daniel 3:19-23, you’ll notice that the King becomes furious when Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to bow down and worship the “golden statue.” And because of his anger, he ordered the furnace to be heated up seven times hotter than usual. Oftentimes, we think obedience to God should make life easier, but it can actually intensify the battle. Our situations can become even hotter than before. But because of their obedience, God didn’t forsake them. He didn’t make the furnace go away. He joined them in it. And it is the same way in our lives. Today, trust Him in your fire. You will come through the other side without even being burned.
