Audience of One

There have been times in my life I have tried to prove to others that I am worthy of their love. This "proving" has been at the cost of working long hours, hiding behind a mask of perfection, and pretending to be something I'm not.

But what has taken a lifetime, I finally see that I will never be enough for "man." I will never be able to please everyone, make everyone happy, say the right thing, and do the right thing.
But what I can do is please my Father. I can look to Him, live for Him, work for Him, and make Him happy. I can come to Him with empty hands and stand before Him with nothing to prove, only to offer Him my heart. And He loves me - because He created me. And it's the same for you too! Let us live for an audience of One!
