Grief
Grief is a complex and challenging thing we must experience while living this life. The definition of grief is deep sorrow, mainly when caused by someone's death. Grief synonyms include misery, sadness, anguish, heartache, heartbreak, affliction, and mourning. While grief typically relates to death itself, it is my experience that it's not only caused by the death of someone but by the death of something. It could be the death of a marriage, a relationship, a season in your life, a job, or a dream.
Whatever it is, grief comes in many shapes and sizes. Understanding grief and its rollercoaster of emotions is like trying to predict a storm. But knowing who can calm the storm, the wind, and the waves is what we need to hold onto. Jesus is the One who will get us through each painful moment and help us take the next step forward. Hallelujah!
