Obedience

What has God asked you to do that doesn't make sense to the world around you? When the angel appeared to Joseph in a dream, everything he knew about his reputation, his plans, and his future was challenged. Mary was pregnant, they weren't yet married, and the rumors would be devastating. Yet Joseph chose obedience over understanding.

Sometimes God calls us to hard things that don't come with easy explanations. Like leaving a secure job for an uncertain calling. Like loving a child who isn't biologically yours. Like stepping into a role that feels impossibly big. The world may not understand, people may talk, but obedience to God's voice is what changes everything.

Joseph didn't get the whole picture that night. He just got the next step: take Mary as your wife, raise this child, name him Jesus. And that was enough. Because when God calls you, He equips you. Not all at once, but step by step, moment by moment.
