What We Say Out loud
Did you know that the average person speaks about 11,900 to 12,000 words per day? But by the end of the day, do we remember what we say? Were they edifying? Did they build someone up, or tear them down? The Bible tells us that life and death are in the power of the tongue. And Jesus said in Matthew 12:36-37, “But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”
Jesus reminds us that our words matter to God, and that what we speak reveals the condition of our hearts. We are accountable for the 11,900 to 12,000 words we choose each day. Let them be filled with life!
